Jared Tuoro to Coach Manawatu Women’s NPC Team. Album

Jared Tuoro a New Zealand Rugby Union Coaching Development Manager has been named as Manawatu Women’s NPC Head Coach for 2013.

Jared and his wife, Huia Paul (NPC player for Wellington and formerly Auckland ) moved from Wellington to Foxton in January where Huia took up a teaching position at Manawatu College.

Jared will be assisted by Stu Ross who coached Manawatu Women’s Sevens Team to National Champions at Queenstown in January. Jared and Stu played key roles in the very successful Rugbygirl Foundation Secondary Schools Girls’ Sevens Camp recently held in Wellington and both impressed not only from their in depth coaching  knowledge but also how they relate to Women rugby players.

With Taranaki and HawkesBay not having Women’s NPC Teams in this year’s competition it will be interesting to see whether Manawatu picks any players from these provinces as loan players.

We believe this appointment is a really good one as Jared plans to work closely with Rob Jones and his very successful Feilding High Girls’ team and we will watch with interest on whether Manawatu can improve on last years fifth position
